THE BUZZ: From Hell was the last Hughes Bros, movie, and that was back in 2001, a time when not every movie seemed to be adapted from a comic book or video game. 8 years later, they’re back with an original screenplay, an increasingly rare occurrence these days. I’m hoping to be recovered from The Road before taking another post-apocalyptic trip, that said, if Viggo Mortensen’s perilous TransAmerican trek charts with audiences, look for Warner Bros. to piggyback on the momentum and push the action angle here. This movie, and Sherlock Holmes, could be returns-to-form for producer Joel Silver, who has been taking a beating from industry watchers since he landed his last hit, V for Vendetta.
